Symptom one is pain. If you are experiencing pain in the back of your jaw, your wisdom teeth may not be growing properly either because there is not enough room in your jaw for them, or they are growing toward the opening of your mouth, which can cause your back molars to hurt. Symptom two is red gums and swelling around the teeth. When your teeth are impacted, your gums will swell mainly because of infection. Swelling around the infected area is common and will cause pain and redness in the gums. If this continues it may also cause damage to other the other molars.
